Story board and shot list:

I found it easiest to combine both of these aspects as it worked better if decided what shot would go best with each lyric so I created this outlining my plan.

Day one:

Test shoot with Olivia. Although the song will not make sense without the other part I want to understand and evaluate how well the record will work over zoom and also test my my new editing app. I started by asking Olivia if the room in which she was preforming was big enough and also if there were any tripping or slipping hazards. Then we discussed what I wanted to do i.e moving her recording device so that I could have different angles and shot types. Olivia was happy with this and listened well to my direction.  I felt that the shot went very well and it was easier that I had assumed to communicate what I wanted through zoom.

Due to personal reasons Holly could no longer film the performance so instead I will just use Olivia's side of the duet because my research and planning all revolved around this performance.

Editing:

I could not access the software I usually use Premiere Pro from home so I used an add called WeVideo. When I first used this add on I was very confused and it took me a while to figure out how to add the clips to my timeline. However I had left plenty of time to edit as I assumed it would be hard to get used to. However it was obvious the difference in quality from Premiere Pro for example it was a lot harder to be accurate when cutting the clips because of the dials moving every time you touched them and also there was no accurate representation of time on the clip so I had to guess where to cut it. Another thing I noticed when editing was that the cuts when out together did not seem to flow as well as when I use Premiere Pro. There was slight popping noise from the audio and the video seems to delay slightly before cutting. However I felt proud of what I created considering the low quality of the software I used.

Because I could not add title screens with out paying to upgrade I made my screens through google docs using the drawing add on.

Ideally I would of had the tune from the song playing over the title screens but unfortunately there is no feature to separate the video and audio in WeVideo.
